There is one phenomenal social networking site currently blazing up a storm across the nation! It’s called Twitter, everyone’s on it including Oprah. Twitter is a free social networking site that enables people to connect with each other in 140 characters or less. Welcome to the wonderful world of Microblogging! So how does Twitter work? In a nutshell, it’s similar to Plurk, it enables an individual to post short messages and these messages are seen by millions of people all across the globe.

So how can you benefit from Twitter?

Business-minded folks, which have things to promote, already jumped into the bandwagon and used this new medium as a means for advertising their goods. Indeed, Twitter is a great way to communicate with customers and entice prospective clients as well.

Be it a personal blurb, awesome tips, product or business launching or simply promoting your website to increase visitors, you can post these short messages for your followers to see and in turn, increase the chances of attracting customers! Another thing that contributed to Twitter’s success is the simple layout of its page. It’s user-friendly, easy to navigate through and its 140 characters text limit is more than enough for smart internet marketers to convey their point without being overbearingly boring.

One particular Twitter feature that holds a lot of promise is its “Follow Me” option where interested people have the choice to follow a particular person’s “tweets”

This platform allows your business to grow by simply clicking the “follow” button and form yourself a group that you share similar interest with. You can post links to your website and encourage your online marketing buddies to check it out and ask them what they think of it or collaborate on certain ideas. You can also take advantage of this feature by following your competitors, check out what they’re up to and keep tabs on the latest marketing tricks. The possibilities are endless.

The trick here is to exploit all the free advertising space into building your credibility as a bonafide Online Marketing Guru, create a fan base and widen your reach. Twitter can do all these for you and more!

It’s All About Mindset

by Javier Ramos

People who are choosing to start up an online business will go the extra mile to master the newest strategies or latest tricks in order to reach the top of the marketing heap. That’s hardly surprising. The internet provides plenty of information to go around and I wouldn’t be surprised if most would be-internet entrepreneurs have seen every instructional video and read all online marketing articles ever made.

Of course, you can only read so much on the web. There maybe a gazillion ways to propel yourself to the top of the game, each in varying degrees of importance and effectiveness, but all effort will be in vain of you don’t have a healthy mindset before starting your business. Couple that with a strong determination to succeed, passion and confidence, then you have all the vital components that will make any business thrive.

Make no mistake, this article isn’t about cunning schemes and tactics, it’s all about good old fashioned planning to develop your marketing success and allow a concrete platform for those shrewd tips and tricks to build a business on top of.

The first thing you need to remember is that success does not happen overnight. There is no such thing as instant success no matter how many “marketing gurus” tell you otherwise. With that said, there are some ways to tweak these marketing strategies and make it work to your advantage in as little time as possible. The first stage is always the hardest to undertake but as long as you don’t lose interest then pretty soon you’ll be raking up sales.

Also, consider that although diligence and hard work are the foundation of a booming business, technical know-how, statistical evidence and research are also essential. You can work non-stop all day everyday but without the right facts and figures then there’s a good chance that you’ll fail.

Lastly, take every advantage that comes your way. Be it new software packages that will help optimize your website, a qualified mentor to teach you the ways of advanced marketing tactics or even analyze your competitor’s strategies, use these information to your advantage!

There maybe a lot of information that you have to go through on the web but being competitive, having a healthy mindset and being one step ahead of your competitors are the key to maintain the success of your online business. Don’t be afraid to take calculated risks and unconventional strategies to give your sales the boost that it needs.
